At Maddie & Mark's we'd find it almost impossible to operate without the support of a great group of companies that we trust and respect. We'd like to let you know who they are so we can give them a big shout-out to say thanks!
Klaklak Photography: Unique. Like your Children
Klaklak Photography offers a new perspective on family portraits - capturing the real personalities of your children and transforming them into stunning natural images. At Klaklak Photography, because they are passionate about photography, they know just how to capture the essence of a person and the emotion of a moment.
Having a photograph taken at Klaklak Photography is in itself an experience to savour. They offer you their expertise while they listen to your needs. They want you to feel special and enjoy the whole process of creating your family heirloom. Because this is their life, they draw on their expertise and skills to tailor each photo session individually to your family. They take time to understand your whole story not just the sound bites.
Nathan's was established in 1903 and have been recycling textiles and clothing for many years. They work closely with charities, local councils, schools, businesses and community groups to recycle over 400,000 kilograms every week! Maddie & Mark's helps Nathan's by collecting shoes donated by our customers that are then either sent off to developing countries or, if they aren’t in good enough condition to be reworn, are stripped down and their materials recycled. They could end up even as the wiper blades on your car! For this reason we always say that no matter what state the shoes are if you are willing to donate them, we will always accept them on Nathan’s behalf.

500 Miles is a local charity that supports amputees and other disabled people in Malawi and Zambia. Their particular focus is the delivery and development of prosthetic and orthotic services. Maddie & Mark's select the shoes donated at our shops that are in the best condition and 500 Miles then sends them off to Africa so that the children there can use them with their new prosthetic limbs.

The Muir Maxwell Trust, a paediatric epilepsy charity, aims to make a difference by providing children and their carers with practical support and by speeding up what can be a frustratingly slow diagnostic process. Maddie & Mark's support the charity by having a Christmas shopping evening for our customers. In May this year four girls from our team will be running The Hairy Haggis, the Edinburgh Marathon relay race, in support of the Trust. You can find the Trust's website by clicking on this link.
