The story so far...

The first Maddie & Mark's Shoes shop was opened in the Marchmont area of Edinburgh in March 2007 by me, a mum, frustrated by a lack of unique, well fitted shoes for my daughter.

During a moment of madness I thought it couldn’t be that hard to source a wide range of quality brands designed to cater for all shapes and sizes and feet. Personal service offered by well-trained and friendly staff was another key goal of mine.

Six months later - following lots and lots of hard work and late nights - we opened a shop in Marchmont Crescent. As we, thankfully, became very busy very quickly, only 11 months later we opened the doors of a second shop in Edinburgh, located in Blackhall. Much as I loved that wee shop in Marchmont, by March of 2009 it was plain that we had just outgrown it – as anybody who went to it would testify! So we moved to a new, bigger shop around the corner in Bruntsfield. Then due to popular demand, we opened our third shoe store in Edinburgh at Buckstone.

Now another chapter has begun with a new shoe shop in Silverburn Glasgow.

By the way, a lot of people ask us who are Maddie and Mark. Well, my daughter is Madeleine and Mark is her friend, so now you know!
