I would like to share my brilliant "its nearly time to get back to school we had better buy shoes" shopping experience with you all. I can not recommend Maddie & Mark's at Blackhall highly enough. I walked in mid-afternoon on Monday with two children, one with challenging-fitting feet and the other under four years.
I was served straight away even although there were at least four or five other children in the shop, I got a choice of shoe (which for a boy's shoe is a huge plus) and they fit and my son loves them! The staff were so patient and were prepared to try lots of shoes on until they were happy with the fit, not just looking for a sale which is all to often the way. I left with two happy boys and two shoe boxes! Cannot recommend highly enough. I won't go anywhere else now for my boys I, don't think. I was also offered an ordering service for a shoe to be ordered. Excellent!

Always a friendly welcome, even if grumpy children in tow! They seem to really care about getting the best fit and have been sent away with nothing if current shoes still fit. Great selection too for those awkward feet when a new pair are required! A pleasure to visit and such a nice change to the faceless High Street.

We had a very good experience. We were very happy with the fitting service and time that was taken over our daughter's feet ...they also run an appointment system over the holidays. This is a great idea.

I also wanted to commend Maddie and Marks on their service and lovely customer friendliness. I took my little boy there for his first shoe fitting and they tried on 10 or more different shoes to get the best fit - were marvellous and patient with him as he was shy.... Makes such a change to have an enjoyable customer service experience, and also nice to get shoes that not every other boy has.
